THE AIR FRYER ADVANTAGE
Air fryers have gained immense popularity for their ability to create crispy, fried-like textures with significantly less oil and less time than traditional deep frying or conventional baking. They use hot air circulation to cook food evenly, making them an excellent choice for frozen snacks like corn dogs, and mini corn dogs and quick easy meals. No need to heat up the house with the conventional oven, and no need for messy hot oil and the deep fryer.

COUNTERTOP AIR FRYER INSTRUCTIONS
Countertop air fryers are perfect when cooking for 1-3 people depending on the size of your air fryer, however, you can always prepare multiple batches if needed.
How Long to Air Fry Frozen Corn Dogs
- Preheat Your Air Fryer: Just like with any cooking method, preheating is key. Set your air fryer to the recommended temperature, usually around 375°F (190°C), and let it heat up for a few minutes.
- Arrange Corn Dogs: While the air fryer is preheating, take your frozen corn dogs out of the freezer and arrange them in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding to ensure proper air circulation and even cooking.
- Cooking Time: The cooking time for frozen corn dogs in an air fryer typically ranges from 10 to 15 minutes. However, keep in mind that different air fryer models may vary slightly. To achieve that perfect crispy texture, it’s a good idea to start with the lower end of the recommended time range and adjust as needed.
- Flip Halfway: About halfway through the cooking time, carefully flip the corn dogs using tongs. This will help ensure that both sides of the corn dogs get evenly crispy.
- Check for Doneness: As the cooking time nears its end, keep an eye on the corn dogs. They should be golden brown and crispy on the outside. If they need a bit more time, you can extend the cooking time in small increments.
- Serve and Enjoy: Once your corn dogs are beautifully crispy and cooked to perfection, carefully remove them from the air fryer. Let them cool for a moment before serving. Pair them with your favorite dipping sauce and sides for a complete meal or snack.

AIR FRY RANGE INSTRUCTIONS
Air frying in the full-size air fry range is perfect when cooking for the whole family. Air Frying for 4-6 people is no problem in the ovens that are now equipped with the air fry feature. Go here to read more about the full-size air fry ranges. In a full-size oven or larger air fryers, the cooking time and temperature may differ from the smaller countertop appliance due to the size of the appliance.
- Preheat your air fry range to 350° for about 5 minutes
- Place the frozen corn dogs on the air fry basket or air fry tray in a single layer.
- Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket.
- Air fry for 20 minutes, flipping or shaking the corn dogs halfway through the cooking process.
- Add an additional 1-2 minutes if needed for the breading to become golden brown and crispy.
- Serve crispy corn dogs with french fries, air fryer tater tots and your favorite dipping sauce on the side.

EQUIPMENT
Different brands and different sizes of air fryer models may alter your outcome. When air frying something for the first time watch it closely to avoid burning the food. I’m using the Instant Pot Vortex Plus 6 qt Air Fryer on the air fryer setting, but any countertop air fryer appliance can be used to make frozen corn dogs. Please refer to your owner’s manual for specific cooking times and directions if you are unsure.
The Samsung full-size air fry range or Frigidaire Range With Air Fry can also be used to air fry larger batches of food when you need to air fry large amounts of food for a large group. The large air frying ovens require a separate tray or air frying basket. When using the Samsung I prefer this one, when using the Frigidaire I like this one. The large air frying oven is my favorite way to make a family-sized meal.
STORAGE
Air-fried corn dogs are best served immediately, however, if there are leftovers store them in an airtight container for up to 3 days. To reheat place them back into the air fryer at 350° for 5-7 minutes or until the breading has crisped up and the internal temperature is 165°.
TOP TIPS
- For best results don’t overcrowd the corn dogs in the air fryer. The best way to avoid soggy corn dogs is to leave enough space for the hot air to circulate around the food properly and crisp up the breading evenly.
- Always cook poultry to a minimum internal temperature of 165 °F for food safety.
- Experiment with Timing: Air fryer cooking times can vary based on factors like the size of the corn dogs and the specific air fryer model you’re using. Don’t hesitate to adjust the cooking time as needed to achieve your desired level of crispiness.
- Spray with Oil: While air fryers require less oil than deep frying, a light spritz of cooking spray on the corn dogs before cooking can enhance their crispy texture.
