Air Fried baby red potatoes will be a huge hit at breakfast, dinner, or your next holiday party. Crispy seasoned potatoes that are healthy, fast, and delicious. I’ll show you how easy it is to make the perfect air-fried potatoes in your air fry oven.

Baby red potatoes are perfect for air frying because they have thin skin that crisps up beautifully while staying light and creamy on the inside.
These easy air-fried potatoes were inspired by my other Frigidaire Air Fry Oven recipes, Air Fried Broccoli and Air Fried Cauliflower, and pair well with this Air Fryer Whole Chicken.
Ingredients
- Baby red potatoes washed and cubed
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Sea salt
- Black pepper
- Granulated garlic powder
- Onion powder
- Chipotle chili powder

Instructions
Pre-heat to 425° using the Air Fry function
Place cubed potatoes in a bowl of cold water. Use your hands to agitate the potatoes around until the water becomes cloudy. Discard the water and refill the bowl with cold water. Allow the potatoes to soak for 10-15 minutes.

Drain the potatoes and place them on a paper towel-lined baking sheet. Pat them dry then air dry for 5-10 minutes.

Tip: Rinsing, soaking, and drying the potatoes are very important. By removing some of the starch you will prevent the potatoes from sticking together and will help achieve maximum crispness.
Place dry potatoes back into the bowl. Drizzle the potatoes with EVOO and sprinkle on the spices. Using a wooden spoon, toss to coat the potatoes.
Dump the seasoned potatoes onto the ReadyCook Air Fry Tray and spread them out evenly.

How To Air Fry Red Potatoes
Place the Air fry on ReadyCook air fry tray in the oven in the third position from the tome. Place a foil-lined drip pan in the fifth position from the top. Air fry for 25 minutes shaking/turning halfway.
Substitutions
- Avocado Oil – instead of EVOO is also a great high temp oil for air frying
- Potatoes – use russet, purple, youkon gold or any variety of potatoes you like instead.
- Spices– try differnt spice blends like oregano, thyme, or rosemary would go perfect with potatoes.

Frigidaire Air Fry Gas Oven and Frigidaire ReadyCook Air Fry Tray are what I used for this recipe.
This recipe is specifically intended for full-size ovens with the air fry feature like the Frigidaire Air Fry Range I own. The cook times and temperatures for the range with air fry may vary from smaller countertop air fryers. Follow the recipes below for complete instructions. Storage
Air-fried potatoes are best eaten immediately after they have been cooked, however, leftovers can be stored in air-tight containers for up to three days. Air-fried potatoes will not retain the crispness when reheated.

Frigidaire Air Fry Oven Red Potatoes

Instructions
- Pre-heat to 425° using the Air Fry function
- Wash and cube potatoes.

- Discard the water and refill the bowl with cold water.
- Allow the potatoes to soak for 10-15 minutes.
- Drain the potatoes and place them on a paper towel lined baking sheet.
- Pat them dry then allow them to air dry for 5-10 minutes.
- Place dry potatoes back into the bowl. Drizzle the potatoes with EVOO
- Sprinkle on the spices, using a wooden spoon, toss to coat the potatoes.
- Dump the seasoned potatoes on to the ReadyCook Air Fry Tray and spread them out evenly.
- Place the ReadyCook Air Fry Tray in the oven on the third rack position from the top.
- Place a foil lined drip pan in the fifth position from the top to catch any drips and prevent smoking.
- Air fry for 20-25 minutes shaking/turning halfway.
- Remove when the skins are crispy and the potatoes are golden.
Notes

A convection oven cooks with a fan that continually circulates hot air around the oven to produce a more even and consistent cooking temperature. A true convection oven will have three heating elements one on top and bottom and one around the fan. I have personally had an electric convection oven for the past ten years and I really enjoyed the convection cooking. Convection cooking results in faster and more evenly cooked food
To use the Air Fry function on the Frigidaire Air Fry Rang you will need the Ready Cook Air Fry Tray. To Air Fry select Air Fry when preheating the oven. Be sure to use a large enough drip pan to prevent grease and food debris from dripping on the bottom of the oven.
Food safety
- Do not use the same utensils on cooked food, that previously touched raw meat
- Wash hands after touching raw meat
- Don’t leave food sitting out at room temperature for extended periods
- Never leave cooking food unattended
- Use oils with high smoking point to avoid harmful compounds
- Always have good ventilation when using a gas stove
