To Air Fry Bacon You Will Need:
- Ready Cook Air Fry Tray
- Baking Sheet
- Aluminum Foil
- Parchment Paper
- Slices of bread



How To Make Air Fried Bacon
Start by preheating the oven. Select the Air Fry function and set the temperature to 400°. While the oven is pre-heating cover a sheet pan like this with heavy-duty aluminum foil. On top of the foil place a sheet of parchment paper and two slices of bread.
Next, separate the bacon and lay it out evenly on the Ready Cook Air Fry Tray. Be sure not to overcrowd the tray so that the air can circulate around the food properly to air fry. When the oven beeps to signal that it has preheated place the Ready Cook Air Fry Tray in the third position from the top for gas and 4th position for electric. Place the prepared baking sheet on the rack in the fifth position of the oven. You may need to remove a rack from the oven during air frying.
Air Frying Bacon
To determine how long to air fry the bacon you will need to decide how crisp you like your bacon. If this is your first-time air frying bacon you may need to experiment a little bit to determine the perfect air frying time. For extra crispy bacon air fry for 14 minutes, for crispy bacon air fry for 12 minutes. Air frying bacon for 8-10 minutes will give you chewier bacon.

Tips For Air Frying Bacon
Once you determine how long you want to air fry your bacon set the time for half of the desired air frying time. At the halfway point check the bacon on the outer edges of the Ready Cook Air Fry Tray and rotate the bacon if needed. Food on the outer edge of the tray will cook faster.
Remember to always pull the drip pan out simultaneously with the air fry tray so the bacon grease does not drip on the oven. Bacon grease will cause a lot of smoking if you accidentally drip it in the oven.
If you need to make more than one batch of bacon you may need to replace the bread as it will soak up lots of the grease and keep the smoking to a minimum, but it will also start to burn after 1 or 2 batches depending on how long you choose to air fry the bacon for.

Is Air Frying Bacon Messy?
Air frying bacon in the Frigidaire Air Fry Range can be a little bit messy. You may decide that it’s not worth the mess, however, I prefer the mess contained in the oven to all over the stovetop. To decide if you want to air fry bacon, you need to understand what is happening when using the air fry or convection bake functions versus traditional baking. Air frying utilizes a high-speed fan and superheated air to cook or “fry” the food. When the fan is spinning it may cause the bacon grease to be blown around inside the oven. If this turns you off from air frying greasy food you may consider still using the Ready Cook Air Fry Tray with drip pan but using the traditional baking function that will cook using the heating elements on top and bottom. You will still get crispy bacon but the baking time will increase to 18-22 minutes.

How to Perfectly Air Fry Bacon in the Frigidaire Air Fry Oven.
Ingredients
- 1 lb. low sodium sliced bacon
Instructions
- See notes on Air Frying Bacon
- Pre heat the oven using the Air Fry function to 400°
- Cover a large baking sheet with heavy duty aluminum foil.
- Plave a large piece of parchment paper on top of the foil lined baking sheet.
- Place 2 slices of bread, fresh or frozen on the baking sheet.
- Separate the bacon and place it evenly on the Ready Cook Air Fry Tray.
- Place the Ready Cook Air Fry Tray in the third position from the top of the oven.
- Place the covered baking sheet below the Air Fry Tray.
- Set the timer for half of the desired cooking time (see notes)
- At the halfway point pull the baking sheet and the Air Fry Tray out at the same time so that no grease can drip in the oven.
- Using tongs flip the bacon over and rotate if needed. Bacon on the outer edge will cook faster.
- Return both the Air Fry Tray and baking pan simultaneously making sure not to splash the grease out of the drip pan.
- Set the timer for the remaining cooking time to reach the desired crispness.
- Remove bacon from the Air Fry Tray to a paper towel lined plate to cool.
- Allow the baking sheet to cool completely before folding up the foil and discarding the grease and contents.
Notes
Cooking time is dependent on your desired preference of bacon. For extra cripsy bacon air fry for 14 minutes, for crisp bacon air fry for 12 minutes. Slightly chewy bacon, air fry for 10 minutes and for softer bacon air fry for 8 minutes. For all cooking times I recommend flipping the bacon halfway through.
When Air Frying greasy food like bacon be prepared to have some smoking. Using parchment paper and bread and running an exhaust fan will greatly reduce the smoking, however you still may have some.
Air Frying bacon will also cause the grease to be blown around in the oven when the fan is blowing, so keep this in mind if you prefer a clean oven. To avoid this you can still use the Air Fry Tray and bake the bacon instead of Air Fry.
Save heels of bread loaves and freeze to use when making air fryer bacon.
