How Make A Crunchwrap Supreme
To start, prepare your ground beef. In a hot skillet brown ground beef, season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, and chili powder. Cook ground beef until there’s no pink remaining then remove from the heat.

Preheat the Frigidaire Air Fry Range using the air fry function to 400° or heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-low heat.
In a small pot warm refried beans through and set aside.

Next, warm the flour tortillas for 20-25 seconds one or two at a time in the microwave. This makes the tortillas more pliable when folding up the crunch wraps. The best tortillas to use are extra-large (13 inch) tortillas, but you can also use burrito size and cut a piece to fill in the center.
Next, layout the extra-large tortilla and spoon refried beans into the center spreading it out about the diameter of a tostada shell.

Place a tostada shell directly on top of the refried beans and spoon ground beef on top of the tostada shell.

Add shredded or nacho cheese, salsa, tomatoes, lettuce, sour cream, or your favorite combination of toppings.

How To Assemble A Crunchwrap
Finally, fold the right and left sides of the tortilla toward the middle followed by folding the top and bottom in pleat the tortilla as you fold to seal up the crunch wrap.

Tip: If the extra-large tortillas are not available use burrito size tortillas and cut pieces of tortilla to fill in the center so none of the toppings fall out when your air fry it.
Air Fried Crunchwraps
Lightly brush or spray both sides of the tortilla with avocado oil. Place the assembled crunchwraps folded side down on the readycook air fry tray with a drip pan on the rack below to catch any drips. Air Fry for 5-6 minutes. Flip the crunchwrap over and continue to air fry for 5-6 more minutes or until the tortilla is crispy and golden.

Alternative Ways To Cook Crunchwraps
If you don’t yet have the full-size air fry range you can make these delicious copycat crunchwrap supremes on the stovetop in a cast-iron skillet or in a smaller air fryer one at a time.

On the stovetop heat a cast-iron skillet or griddle up over medium heat and melt a little bit of butter in the pan. Place the folded side down and cook until the tortilla is crispy and golden brown. Flip the crunchwrap over and repeat on the second side.
Substitutions
Refried Beans – instead of traditional refried beans try refried black beans.
Flour Tortilla – use whole wheat or whole grain tortillas.
Vegetarian – the beef hamburger can be replaced with a plant-based burger to make this vegetarian and substitute traditional refried beans for vegetarian refried beans.
Variations
The toppings or fillings that you put inside the crunchwraps can be customized to your liking.
- Spicy – add pickled jalapenos or hot taco sauce inside.
- Deluxe – add guacamole, or nacho cheese
- Kid friendly – omit the hot sauce or taco sauce
Easy 30-Minute Meal Ideas
Equipment
This recipe is specifically intended for full-size ovens with the air fry feature like the Frigidaire Air Fry Range I own. The cook times and temperatures for the range with air fry may vary from smaller countertop air fryers. Follow the recipes below for complete instructions. For small air fryers cooking time and temperatures may need to be adjusted. For the full review of the Frigidaire Air Fry Range go here.
Storage
Leftover crunchwraps won’t be crispy and delicious the next day so I recommend storing any seasoned ground beef and refried beans in an air-tight container and following the instructions again to assemble a fresh crunchwrap.

Thanks for providing the alternate instructions for making these on the stove top. I don’t have an air fry range so that was useful. I added some fresh cilantro just because I like the taste, it was delicious!

My family loves Crunch wraps so we can’t wait to try this recipe. Love that it can be air fried!
